Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Anudan Yojana
Eligibility Criteria
Under the Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Anudan Yojana, the following individuals are eligible for benefits:
– Destitute men and women aged 18 to 65 years
– Orphaned children
– All categories of disabled individuals
– Men and women unable to sustain themselves due to severe illnesses such as tuberculosis, cancer, AIDS, leprosy
– Destitute widows
– Women undergoing divorce proceedings or divorced women not receiving alimony
– Women who have been victims of abuse or rescued from prostitution
– Transgender individuals
– Devadasis
– Unmarried women over 35 years of age
– Wives of prisoners serving sentences
– Individuals suffering from sickle cell disease
To be eligible for this scheme, the beneficiary’s name must be on the Below Poverty Line (BPL) list or the family’s annual income must be up to ₹21,000.
