Incentive given to Encourage Inter caste Marriages
Eligibility Criteria
- The person / couple should be the permanent resident of Maharashtra.
- Out of the Beneficiaries / married couple, one should belongs to SC, ST, VJ, NT and SBC Category. (Caste certificates mandatory)
- Beneficiary / married couple should submit marriage registration certificate.
- At the time of marriage, Groom’s age should not be less than 21 years and Bride’s age should not be below 18 years. (School Leaving Certificate of Bride & Groom is mandatory)
- Two Hon’ble persons’ recommendation letters.
- Joint photo of the Couple.
- In this regards the definition of inter Caste Marriage is Marriages between SC/ST/VJ/NT/SBC persons and the other person should belongs to Savarna, Hidu Lingayat, Jain, Sikh Community.
Beneficiary:
The residents of Maharashtra belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Nomadic Tribes, Denotified Tribes, and Special Backward Classes
Benefits:
Inter-ethnic marriage Rs 50,000 / - spouse's name combined draft.
How To Apply
The married couple should obtain the prescribed application form from the District Social Welfare Officer, Zilla Parishad, and submit it in person along with the self-attested copies of the documents mentioned in the application form.
