Main Objective of the Scheme
To eradicate untouchability and educate society.
Nature of Benefits
- Taluka Level Camps: To organize three camps per year in each taluka for Gram Sevaks, Talathis, Panchayat Samiti members, etc., with a grant of ₹12,000 per camp provided to the Panchayat Samiti.
- Village Awards: To award villages in each district for outstanding work in eradicating untouchability. First prize: ₹3,000, Second prize: ₹2,000.
- Essay Competitions: To organize essay competitions in schools and colleges in each district to eradicate untouchability. First prize: ₹1,000, Second prize: ₹750, Third prize: ₹500.
- Elocution Competitions: To organize elocution competitions in schools and colleges in each district to eradicate untouchability. First prize: ₹1,000, Second prize: ₹750, Third prize: ₹500.
