Grant-in-aid for Backward Class Hostels run by NGOs (Aided Hostels)

Key Conditions of the Scheme:

• Admission is given to outstation students from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Vimukta Jatis and Nomadic Tribes (VJNT), and Special Backward Classes (SBC).
• There is no income limit for eligibility.

Nature of Benefits:

• Residential students receive a maintenance grant of ₹2200 per month per student for 10 months.
• 75% of the building rent is paid to the institution.
• 7.5% of the rental value is provided for self-owned buildings.
• Free accommodation, meals, bedding, sports equipment, and other facilities.

SC, ST, VJNT, SBC
