    Scheme for Financial Assistance to Industrial Cooperative Societies of Scheduled Castes

    • This scheme was initiated in the year 2004-05.

    Objective of the Scheme

    • To bring Scheduled Caste communities into the mainstream of development through cooperation by providing self-employment opportunities to the unemployed in Scheduled Castes and fostering entrepreneurship.

    Nature of the Project

    • Power loom societies, knitting garments, yarn processing units, agricultural produce processing, cooperative sugar factories, khandsari factories, bio-coal printing presses, etc.

    Eligibility Criteria

    • Only registered cooperative societies of Scheduled Castes are eligible to apply under this scheme.

    Project Cost Limit

    • The project cost limit is up to Rs. 7 crores.
    • For the year 2023-24 total 507 industrial cooperative societies has been granted by government.

    Funding Structure
